Madurai became the 3 city in state and the 33rd city in the country to have a passport office. Its all the first city to have an air-conditioned passport office. The office became fully functional on Monday the 17th of December 07.
This could make the lives easier for a lot of people. Especially people from downsouth. Madurai city is relatively easy to access when compared to Trichy or Chennai, to many cities like Tirunelvei, Tuticorin, Tenkasi, etc… This could also ease the congestion in the other passport offices in the city.
